This light-hearted musical comedy is about eight very different people who try to overcome their inhibitions and “left feet” and learn to tap dance.
The loveable troupe of misfits include eager-to-please Lynne, bird-like Dorothy, confident Maxine, shy Geoffrey, timid Andy, bubbly Sylvia, prim Vera and larger-than-life Rose. All are searching for something.
They are guided by their teacher Mavis, a former professional chorus girl, and aided (at times) by grumpy pianist Mrs Fraser. We follow their road to self-discovery and learn that their weekly classes are so much more than learning to dance; they are a lifeline for them all.
Directed by Tracey Owens and Claire Williams
