A Murder is Announced

Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple appears in

A Murder is Announced

Stage adaptation by Leslie Darbon.

3  – 17 March 2018.

Directed by Arlene Richards.

A murder is announced and will take place on Friday 13th at Little Paddocks at 6:30 p.m.

So reads the announcement in the local paper, Chipping Cleghorn Gazette. Intrigued, the local villagers duly assemble at Miss Blacklock’s Victorian house at the appointed time when, without warning, the lights go out.

What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, questionable identities and of course, murder. Fortunately for Inspector Craddick Miss Marple is on hand to help sleuth away sorting out the clues from the red herrings.

Director Arlene Richards (Gaslight, The Winslow Boy, Stringer’s Last Stand) has assembled a highly talented, experienced cast featuring Claire Williams as Miss Marple. Other cast members include Tracey Gordon, Jo Cooper, Megan Connelly, Luke Aspinall, Marigold Pazar, Mathew Gallimore, Debra Hely, Chloe Peters, Stewart McGowan and Ronan Barrett.

… If there’s going to be a murder there has to be a victim. If I were you the question I’d be asking myself is: who is going to be murdered?

– Miss Marple (Act One, Scene One).
